The Economic Investment Action Plan is a seven-element strategy to stimulate the economy in Surrey while achieving City of Surrey business development and job creation objectives.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
The EDS is an action-oriented document that builds on other City initiatives, plans and partnerships with an economic development component including: the Official Community Plan, the Sustainability Charter, the Employment Lands Strategy and the Liveability Accord.
The Strategy defines activities that will foster economic growth and promote Surrey as a premier investment location, while supporting social, cultural and environmental sustainability. The Strategy identifies and ranks 16 priority strategies that will support the City's economic development.

EMPLOYMENT LANDS STRATEGY
The ELS articulates a strategic vision, and provides direction for how employment lands should be managed with a view to ensure an adequate supply to meet projected demand. The ELS will shape policy and regulations and provide the foundation for day-to-day land use decisions by Surrey staff and Council.
