City Of Surrey Mapping On-line System

Use this link to access the City's award winning web-based mapping system called COSMOS which provides the ability to locate, view, print and download a wide range of City information such as zoning, aerial imagery, infrastructure, parks, roads and recreation facilities.

Standard Map Products

Several standard map products are available for purchase in hardcopy or pdf format.  Use the new on-line order system to select and pre-purchase the products desired.

Note:  A complete list of products, prices and full instructions for using the new on-line order system are available via the link above.  You will be instructed to select the products you desire, then complete the transaction with payment.  An email will be sent to the City GIS Section to process your order.  You will be notified when your order is ready for pick up, or it will be sent directly to you if specified.

Custom Map Products

Custom map products are available for purchase in hard copy or pdf format. Custom plots are priced at $50/hr plus recoverables (ink and paper). A $50.00 minimum is applied to all custom maps and pre-payment is required. Custom products are normally ready within three business days.

As-Built Drawings and Legal Plans (now free!)

COSMOS allows you to geographically search for  As-built drawings and Legal Survey Plans associated with layers.  To access these documents, expand the advanced toolbar click the Hotlink tool  and follow the directions.  Once you have located the drawings you need you can open or download each drawing's image file (.tif format) for viewing, and printing.

Please note that the location of utility infrastructure for Telephone, Hydro and Gas should be obtained from the appropriate utility.

Digital Data Exports now from COSMOS (Free!)

Digital data is now available free of charge through COSMOS.  The self-serve access enables you to select and download spatial data 24hrs a day.  Exports are available in different formats including ESRI Shapefile (shp) and AutoCAD 2000 (dwg).

Launch COSMOS and click on the 'Export Data' tab to start the step-by-step wizard to guide you through the download process.  If you have any questions, please email GIS@surrey.ca or call 604-591-4146.

Data Sharing

The City of Surrey encourages digital data sharing and will participate in data sharing agreements that are deemed mutually beneficial.

If you are interested in entering into a data sharing agreement with the City of Surrey, please print, fill out, sign, and fax the Spatial Data Sharing Agreement to 604-591-8693.  The GIS Section will contact you to discuss the request once we have received it.

Drainage Reports

Drainage reports are available in PDF format. To order a drainage report in PDF format, please print, fill out, sign, and fax the Drainage Reports Order Form to 604-591-8693.
