Councillor Hunt Chairs the Gaming Committee and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. He is a member of the Finance Committee, Public Safety Committee, Transportation Committee, and Audit Committee. He represents Council on the Agricultural Advisory Committee, the Development Advisory Committee and the Lower Fraser Valley Exhibition Association.

At Metro Vancouver, Councillor Hunt is Chair of the Waste Management Committee, a member of the Finance Committee, Intergovernmental Committee, Sustainable Region Initiative Task Force, and Sustainability Academy Task Force. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Finance Authority (MFA). Councillor Hunt is Past President of the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) and served on the TransLink Board of Directors for 8 years.

At the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), Councillor Hunt is on the National Board of Directors, Chairs the Standing Committee on International Relations, and is a member of the Standing Committee on Environmental Issues and Sustainable Development.
