I am a teacher and parent, and it is through these lens that I see the City of Surrey, from parent worries over children being safe to the problems in public transportation and even the lack of skating arenas and soccer fields.
Along with others on the Surrey Civic Coalition, I would work to get a second hospital, to resist the provincially imposed bridge tolls, to make our economy vibrant and sustainable, to preserve Surrey's natural beauty.
I was educated at the University of Toronto, graduating with a Ph.D. I have three children, two of whom are in university and the third at Fraser Heights Secondary. My wife is a vice principal in Langley, and my father was a long-time politician, ambassador and judge, recently retiring as Chief Justice of Ontario. Like my father, I am committed to a just and fair society, one that is the envy of the world.
