I have lived and worked in Surrey for over seventeen years. I work as a lawyer and I have been active in the community.
I served on the Surrey Public Library Board and received the BCLTA "Super Trustee" award in 2006. I am on the Board of the Friends of the Surrey Museum and Archives. I have volunteered with Access Justice and the Newton Advocacy Group Society for many years.
I recognize the fundamental importance of a sound educational system and I believe that as a Trustee, I can help ensure that the Surrey School District achieves and maintains high standards of excellence.
Other issues that I believe are important include services for students who need extra support, school safety and ensuring parental involvement in school and district decision making.
I believe that I have the enthusiasm and experience to make a real difference as a School Trustee.
