Laurie Larsen is again running for Surrey School Trustee, having come within a few votes of being elected in 2005.
Laurie has lived in Surrey for more than 50 years and worked for the City of Surrey since 1986. She is president of CUPE local 402.
Laurie and her four children attended public school in Surrey and all graduated with honours.
Laurie has always been active in the community. Surrey has benefited from Laurie’s commitment as she has served on Surrey-Guildford Rotary and Surrey’s Homelessness and Housing Task Force, both for more than five years, plus Surrey Homelessness and Housing Society Board and the Surrey Literacy Steering Committee. She is also active in the Fraser Valley Rodeo Association, Front Room, and Surrey Food Bank.
Laurie took an active interest in her school community by chairing the Enver Creek Secondary PAC for four years and serving on the school’s planning committee.
