I have served as a School Trustee for three years, the last year in the capacity as chair of the board.  I am an educator by profession and worked 20 years as Secondary School Principal in Surrey. 

Subsequently, I served as the M.L.A. for Delta North for 9 years.  During this time I served as Deputy Critic for Education while in opposition.  During the government years I served as Deputy Chair of the select standing committee on Education. 

I am a strong advocate for Literacy, community involvement, and fitness in the schools. 
I am currently a member of the Surrey Board of Trade and the B.C. Retired Principals Association. 

My wife, Susan and I reside in the Panorama Ridge area of Surrey.
