Property Tax Deferment Programs

Pay Your Utility Charges

Please pay your utility (garbage and recycling) charges before applying for Property Tax Deferment or Financial Hardship Property Tax Deferment.

The City of Surrey can only forward your deferment application to the Property Tax Deferment Office once the utility charges are paid, and the Home Owner Grant is claimed (if eligible).

 

BC Property Tax Deferment Programs

The British Columbia Property Tax Deferment Program is a loan program that allows you to defer your annual property taxes on your home if  you meet certain criteria.
