| The Public Art Program began in May of 1998 when Surrey City Council adopted the Public Art Policy. It is intended that projects initiated through this program explore and express the spirit, values, and ideals of the people of Surrey, and occur at public sites throughout the City. It includes a range of public and community art approaches. Surrey's Public Art Program seeks to bring art and art practices into the daily experience of the citizens of Surrey. By visiting some of the other sections in the website, you will find information on current artist opportunities, the Public Art Advisory Committee, the Public Art Policy and how to get in touch with us. In particular, you can access more detailed information about the artworks in our inventory by going to the Public Art Projects and Locations heading. We hope that you find what you are looking for. |
