Building Surrey, 1890s-Present
Architecture, People, & Places That Shape the City
Learn how architecture in Surrey has changed over time, how old a house has to be before it is considered to have heritage value, and what factors have influenced the design of local buildings. Utilizing historic photo resources from the Surrey Archives, Surrey Heritage Inventory and beyond, the exhibit will examine the origins, styles, and use of buildings over time. Examples will include the log cabin, Craftsman, Gothic Revival, Tudor styles to buildings that use the newest green technologies.
On display March 6–May 9, 2010
