volunteer park care program

The Park Care program is an opportunity for volunteers to become involved in taking care of neighborhood parks, traffic islands and green spaces.Volunteers can help take care of the park or green space through a variety of activities such as:

  • painting
  • planting
  • park beautification
  • playground clean-up
  • garden and grass maintenance
  • weed and invasive species removal & more!

Partners in Parks staff will support volunteers in the Park Care program by providing them with the tools, equipment, materials, supplies and access to the technical expertise of Parks Division staff. The spring of each year, material order forms will be sent to all volunteers offering them the opportunity to order supplies for their projects.

  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the environment
  • Have the opportunity to express vision of your ideal community in your own park
  • Make positive changes by enhancing the visual appeal of your neighborhood
  • Organize your own time and work environment – work at your own pace and schedule
  • See and experience the actual results of your accomplishments
  • Influence others to take pride in the environment and park spaces
