There are a wide range of volunteer opportunities available across the City of Surrey. To learn more about the these opportunities, choose from the areas of interest below.

 

 

 
 

 Parks, Recreation & Culture
Opportunities include the Surrey Arts Centre, Heritage Services, City-Wide Special Events, SPIRIT, Partners in Parks, Community Recreation, and Environmental Programs and Surrey Nature Centre.

 Surrey Emergency Program
The Surrey Emergency Program branches into the following 4 functions: Emergency Social Services (ESS), Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program, Surrey Search & Rescue and Surrey Amateur Radio.

  Fire Department 
The Surrey Fire Service is seeking men and women interested in serving as Volunteer Firefighters (paid on/call).  If you have the desire to help your community, believe in excellence at performing any job, then the members of the Surrey Fire Service want you to join the team!

  RCMP
Be a part of the Surrey RCMP Auxiliary Constable program. We are looking for individuals to strengthen community and Police partnerships by taking part in strategies to reduce crime and disorder.  Other opportunities include volunteering at the District Offices and with the Restorative Justice (RJ) Program.

 Surrey Public Library 
Opportunities include Homebound Clients Delivery Drivers and young adult “Reading Buddies”. If you enjoy working with people, have interest and enthusiasm for books and reading  become part of our services and help our community!

 Community-Schools Partnership
Bring your energy and enthusiasm to the Community-Schools Partnership! Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of programs and initiatives.  There are many ways you can get involved and our schools need your help. Work directly with students and families, behind the scenes as a committee member, after school programs, parent and child programs, clothing exchange,  ESL programs, and many more community based projects.
