This is a free fun family event! Join us as we celebrate the legacies of the City of Surrey's 2008 Cultural Capitals of Canada Award. This will include the opening of the Surrey Nature Centre! Get in touch with your wild side and connect with nature in the City as we celebrate the opening of the new Surrey Nature Centre at Green Timbers. With hands-on nature activities for all ages, explore your place amoung the tiny insects, tall trees and everything in between! We will also have a celebration of all eight projects, including the 6 public art projects, the GLOCAL project, and the Kla-How-Eya Canoe. Also, watch the world renowned West Coast Logging show joining us from Squamish, BC. This fast paced, action packed show is a fun, interactive display uniquely presented to reflect the heritage of Green Timbers Forest! Music, food, games and fun! Come on out and get involved! |
