Occupational Health & Safety Training

IMPORTANT: Complete the required online Safety Orientation training (40 minutes) prior to your first day at work.

Safety is a key area of focus for the City of Surrey. All City employees are required to contribute to a safe and healthy workplace in an effort to minimize the potential for incidents, injuries and illnesses.

Employees must:

  • Perform his/her job tasks in accordance with established safe work procedures, practices, and Provincial, Federal and Environmental Regulations.
  • Be responsible for utilizing appropriate safety equipment at all times, seek supervisory clarification when needed.
  • Report any workplace incident, near miss occurrence, or possible unhealthy or unsafe condition, and/or unsafe behaviour.

Online Training

Instructions:

  1. Click the link to complete the mandatory training modules: Start online training.
     
  2. Set up your username to create your online training account. To set up a new account select "If your Username is not in our system, click here". Your default password is "future"


    Once you’ve logged into your account, change your password and begin the online training. Please note: your online training account login is different than the one you used to apply for your job through the City of Surrey’s careers site.
     
  3. Complete the City of Surrey – Health & Safety training (40 minutes). Once you’ve successfully completed the training module, you will receive a certificate of completion. Save a copy of your certificate for your records.

The City of Surrey recommends that you do not email the required personal information using unsecured systems.

Browser Requirements

In order to view the online orientation, a modern web browser is required: Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 2+ or Opera 9+. The web browser must have a Flash Player plug in installed.

JavaScript

Monitor Resolution
