Member Family Assistance Program and Employee Family Assistance Program

To support the health and well-being of our employees, the Surrey Fire Service, in partnership with IAFF 1271 offers the Member Family Assistance Program (MFAP). Additionally, the City of Surrey, in partnership with CUPE 402 and IAFF, offers an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) designed to provide employees and their eligible family members with confidential professional assistance to address a wide range of personal, family and work-related concerns.

Language Services

As part of our commitment to promoting access and full participation by all residents and businesses, employees who speak a second language (if not more), are encouraged to become a volunteer translator with the City of Surrey’s Interpretative Language Skills Team (ILST).

As a volunteer, you may occasionally be asked to offer your interpretation services in order to help a colleague better communicate with a resident in another language. Your involvement supports greater accessibility and adaptability of City services to all our residents.

To register as a volunteer translator, contact the Human Resources Department at 604-591-4660 or email humanresources@surrey.ca.

Paperless Processes

To support the City of Surrey’s sustainability goals, your bi-weekly pay advice and your annual T4 income tax forms are provided electronically.
