Health Care

Apply for medical insurance (MSP) as soon as you arrive in British Columbia.

Canada’s health care system provides universal coverage for medically necessary health care services provided on the basis of need, rather than the ability to pay.  This is a publically funded health care system known to Canadians as “medicare,” and provides access to universal, comprehensive coverage for medically necessary hospital and physician services.
