Sustainability & Climate Strategies

Surrey has developed a number of strategy documents that identify actions and guide implementation, so we can continue delivering on our sustainability and climate action goals.

Surrey's Sustainability Charter is the City's overarching policy document. The Charter guides all our decisions and actions along a path of sustainable growth. Keep up with Surrey's Sustainability Dashboard to see how we're doing across environmental, economic and socio-cultural indicators.

Taking action on climate change is another priority area for Surrey. We're working to reduce our energy use and prepare for climate impacts through Surrey's Community Climate Action Strategy (CCAS). The CCAS is made up of 2 complementary plans:

We walk the talk by ensuring we reduce energy use and GHG emissions in our own operations, as outlined in the City's Corporate Emissions Action Plan
