Join us for the Positive Parenting Workshop Series, for parents and caregivers of 5 to 18 year olds. Workshops take place at locations throughout the city and are free to attend. Visit one workshop or attend them all! Registration is not required.

Positive Parenting Workshop Series Locations, Dates, Time and Topic

Kensington Prairie Community Centre

Join us on Tuesdays at 6:30pm to 8:30pm for the following discussions. 

  • May 23: "What’s Love Got to Do With It?" - A relational-based approach to parenting and exploring temperament.
  • May 30: "Why Are You Acting this Way?" - Understanding challenging behaviours.
  • June 6: "Listen to Me!" - Learning to listen, understand and communicate with your child.
  • June 13: "We Have a Problem…" - Problem solving with children and youth.

Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre

Join us on Tuesday at 5pm to 6pm. Snacks and activities for children will be provided. A question and answer period will take place from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. 

  • June 20: How to implement and manage structure and routine

Fleetwood Community Centre

Join us on Mondays at 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Snacks and activities for children will be provided. A question and answer period will take place from 5:30pm to 6:00pm.

  • June 19: How to implement and manage structure and routine
