About the South Surrey Recreation Centre

The South Surrey Recreation Centre is an eco-friendly, state-of-the art recreation facility that offers programs for all ages, all cultures and all fitness levels. We offer registered and drop-in programs for early years, preschool, children, youth, adult, fitness and seniors 55+, and seasonal and summer camps. 

The facility includes 2 full-sized gymnasiums, a multi-purpose gymnasium, 2 preschool rooms, community lounge, dance studio, 2000-square-foot fitness studio, and the South Surrey youth lounge.

The South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre Expansion is now open to the public!

Features of the new Expansion include:

  • New Entrance, Lobby and Reception Area
  • 8,000 sq. ft. Fitness Centre
    • 40+ pieces of cardio equipment
    • Functional weight training equipment
    • Wide selection of cable machines and free weights
    • Wheelchair accessible
  • 2,500 sq.ft. Fitness Studio
  • New Childminding space (all natural play space with expanded hours)
  • In partnership with the Semiahmoo Arts Community Arts Council:
    • Visual Arts Studio
    • Pottery Studio
    • Art Gallery and Multipurpose Room
    • 2 Public Art displays
