About Harmony

Jay Panesar took these six digital photographs in several of Surrey’s parks. They represent various pathways into the natural landscape. Each of the images is composed to balance the earth and sky. In some instances, the artwork symbolizes the artist’s thoughts about the uncertainty of a definite future as the pathways lead into the unknown.

About the Artist

Born in the Punjab, Jay Panesar immigrated to Surrey when he was 13 years old and is still based in the City. An emerging artist, he is the first photographer in three generations of painters. His art practice focuses on landscape and architectural photography, while his professional practice focuses on portraits and fashion. He says,  “I chose photography over other art forms because it allows me to explore and capture the richness and authenticity of life, as it is.”
