About Forsyth Park

Forsyth Park is now under construction. An open house and online surveys were hosted in late 2016, thank you to everyone who participated! The Preliminary Concept Plan was widely supported, and we've been working on the details since the open house. Our final design has taken into consideration feedback received, as well as the site's natural features. We anticipate a Fall 2017 park opening.

Forsyth Park is the largest (3 hectares)  of ten new parks being planned for City Centre. Park amenities will also feature a dog off-leash area, destination nature playground and supporting picnic areas and pathways. When completed, Forsyth Park will serve as a primary gathering space in the neighbourhood. The nature play area is funded by a $500,000 gift from TD Bank Group to commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday. The donation to the City of Surrey is one of seven major TD-funded green space revitalization projects across the country, and is one of 150 projects being completed as a part of the “TD Common Ground" project.
