About Holland Park
Holland Park is one of Surrey's newest and most urban parks. At over 10 acres, Holland Park offers a green oasis in the Surrey's emerging City Centre.
In the summer, attend community and city events, like the annual Fusion Festival, in Holland Park's large open fields, or, if you're feeling like relaxing, just sit and enjoy the Holland Gardens at the centre of the Park. There is also a new playground in the Park's southwest corner.
It has been called the Central Park of Surrey’s evolving downtown. Holland Park played host to Surrey’s hugely successful Live Nation site during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Holland Park has become the heart and soul of civic festivities since the City of Surrey began the park’s massive reconstruction following months of public consultation that began in 2004. The redevelopment of the park has transformed it from a once quiet and underused space to the vast expanse and variety of gathering spaces it provides today.
Following the primary phase of construction which extended from 2005 to July 2006, there have been a number of subsequent phases constructed in this ever-evolving, award-winning park. In 2008, Holland Park was selected as a site for one of British Columbia’s Spirit Squares to celebrate the Province’s 150th anniversary.
