Port Kells Park
19340 - 88 Avenue, Surrey BC
About Port Kells Park
Port Kells Park is located just west of the village centre, and offers many amenities, including:
- softball diamonds
- an outdoor pool
- a playground
- great picnic spots
There is a washroom building with change rooms, as well as plenty of parking available from 88 Avenue.
Port Kells Park also includes the conservation of the Latimer Creek wetland. The wetland and habitat conservation area makes up the southern half of the park. There are some good spots for bird watching along the pathways at the northern edge of the wetland. Access these pathways from the main asphalt parking lot in the centre of the park.
Port Kells Park dates back to 1908, when the community of Port Kells was a small agricultural village serviced by the New Westminster and Southern Railway line.
Port Kells Park is a great place to host a picnic. There is one large picnic shelter located south of the parking lot.
Picnic shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you’re having a picnic or hosting an event in a Surrey park please review the Park Activity Guidelines. Steps to hosting an event at Port Kells Park will differ if you’re looking to host a public event.
