Explore and learn about nature during Environmental Extravaganza! Environmental Extravaganza is an 8 week series of events that take place between April 14 and June 9, 2018.

World Oceans Day
Check out some fun activities on the seaside and learn how to care for our coastal areas. We’ll have a marine touch tank, guided beach walks, a shoreline cleanup and birdwatching throughout the day.

Salmon Dash ‘n Splash
Join us by the water park for fishy-themed family fun and 300m fun runs that take off at 1pm and 3pm. Dress for a wet and wild time!

Surrey Urban Farmers’ Market Opening Day
Celebrate the Market’s 10th season! Meet local farmers and artisans to discover what they make, bake, and grow. Enjoy tasty treats, kids’ activities and live music while learning about Surrey’s agricultural past and present. The Market will be open Wednesdays until October 3rd.

Learn to Fish
Youth ages 5-15 can learn the basics of freshwater fishing and give it a try! This two-hour session includes fishing time on Green Timbers Lake. All equipment provided, parent supervision required. Pre-registration required; register today. Spaces are limited so book early!

Get your hands dirty removing invasive plants to prepare the park for fall tree planting events. Bring your friends and family – everyone is welcome to volunteer! No experience needed; tools, training, and light refreshments provided. Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes.
