The Surrey Museum offers creative and interesting programs for both adults and seniors. Lectures, fibre art programs and more. Check back regularly as each season has different programs to offer. Rattle and Hum
Make beautiful music! Weave a rattle with natural and dyed reed and a driftwood or hazel handle; fill it with limpet shells and shake, rattle and roll. Supply fee $18. 1 session - $45.25

Summer Spinning Workshop
Our spinning wizard shares age-old techniques for spinning on a traditional wheel. Spin fluffy wool fibre into unique yarn for your knitting or weaving projects. 3 sessions - $60

Introduction to Nature Dyeing
Use natural plant materials to infuse yarn with rich colours. Learn how to extract dyes from plants, mordant yarn and make a dye bath, to create unique yarn skeins. Supply fee $15. 1 session - $45.25

Music at the Museum: Jug Band Jamboree
What do you get when you blend jazz, ragtime and Delta blues with washboards, jugs and other vintage and homemade instruments? Why, the unique and unforgettable sounds of The Genuine Jug Band, of course! Wear your overalls and join us on the Museum’s lawn for an evening of crazy fun and historic music.
