About Hazelgrove Park
Hazelgrove Park was identified as a new park site within the East Clayton Neighbourhood Concept Plan. The site will be developed as a community park with outdoor recreation and green space, including features for team sports, youth and children's play. It is located between 190 and 191 Street, north of Hazelgrove Elementary.
The future park will be approximately 3.5 hectares (8.65 acres) in size. This makes it the largest park in East Clayton.
Information And Updates
Planning and design for this new park is complete, and construction is well under way. We expect the park to be completed later this year.
An extensive public engagement process was undertaken between August, 2013 and January, 2014, including open houses, online CitySpeaks surveys and a number of stakeholder workshops and meetings. The feedback and comments from these activities helped our design team develop the Hazelgrove Park Concept Plan. Review the Public Engagement Summary for a quick overview of the outcomes of this process. Get in touch with us if you would like a copy of the full and detailed public engagement summary document.
The concept plan for Hazelgrove Park was approved by Council on March 10, 2014. Prior to Council's approval it was presented to the Parks, Recreation & Sport Tourism Committee.
