Description: Samuel Shannon was one of the sons of pioneer Thomas Shannon. He acquired the land on which the house is located in 1898, and built the house in the popular Craftsman style c. 1910. Features triangular knee brackets, exposed rafters and stone veranda piers. Shannon was committed to advancements in agriculture, was on the Senate at UBC, and was awarded the Order of the British Empire for his achievements in 1943.
