Student Employment Opportunities

Want to spend your summer working outdoors, gain valuable experience, and have fun too? Check out student employment opportunities with Surrey Parks, SHaRP, and SNAP!

Surrey Parks

Park Play

Since 2006, Park Play has been engaging famillies to be active together by bringing free outdoor activities to local parks. During the summer, Park Play staff visit different parks each day and host drop-in sessions featuring group games, sports, circle time, and other inclusive activities. In addition to leading drop-in program sessions, Park Play staff supervise PlaySquad volunteers and host community events

Bear Creek Park Program

Summer programs at Bear Creek Park provide opportunities for Surrey residents to meet their neighbours and experience their park through a variety of opportunities that foster park care, healthy lifestyles, outdoor activity, and community connections.  These opportunities are provided by a variety of City partners and community organizations.

Interested in working as a Park Programs Leader or Assistant? Both programs employ post-secondary students from June to August. Please check career opportunities in December/January for more information.

SHaRP and SNAP are youth environmental programs devoted to the restoration of natural areas in Surrey and the promotion of environmental stewardship and sustainability. The programs employ post-secondary and high school students throughout the summer months. SHaRP focuses on aquatic areas and enhancing salmon habitat, while SNAP focuses on restoring natural areas in parks.
