Shweta Subram is a powerful South Asian vocalist based out Toronto. She is trained in Hindustani and Carnatic music styles.

Born and raised in Dubai, Shweta moved to Ottawa at the age of 16. Upon completing her education, Shweta won a North American talent hunt by Sangam Kala Group (a prestigious organization from New Delhi promoting Indian classical music) and was flown to India where she placed in Top 10 against regional finalists from India.

During her stay in India, Shweta appeared on TV shows (Star Plus Voice of India, Sunsilk Gang of Girls, and B4U Music’s B4U Express) and focused on intensive vocal training.

Shweta’s career as an independent singer started in 2011 with her debut single, Jee Le Live Life followed by Ajooba and Piya. During this period, she collaborated with different artists around the globe and has been featured in a hit single by Shankar Tucker, Mere Saajan Sun Sun.

Shweta has performed alongside well-known Bollywood names such as Alka Yagnik, Atif Aslam, Priyanka Chopra, Salim-Suliaman, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Shahid Kapoor, Sukhbir, and others. Shweta was also featured at IIFA (Indian International Film Academy) Rocks 2011 alongside Salim-Sulaiman in Toronto.
