Translation – Explanation and Caution

The electronic translation service on the City of Surrey’s web site is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation may vary in some of the languages offered by Google. The goal of the basic translation is to capture the general intention of the original English material.

Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages. Unfortunately, not all the languages spoken in the City of Surrey are translated. Punjabi is one of the languages not currently offered, and to remedy the situation, the City has been in contact with Google and they have committed to making Punjabi available in the future.

The City of Surrey cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the City encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and the decisions you make.

The City of Surrey offers interpretation services at all its facilities. If you have a question about the material you read on our web site, we encourage you to stop by a City facilities to discuss it. You can also contact the City at (604) 591-4011 to receive interpretation support.

TICKET INFO:

Admission to Fusion Fesitval is FREE.

For the purchase of food at the Fusion Festival please remember the following:
1. The Fusion Festival uses tickets to sell food. Cash will not be accepted by the food pavilion operators.
2. Tickets can be purchased at one of three ticket booths found on site. These ticket booths will be clearly marked.
3. If you cannot find a ticket booth please ask a volunteer or staff person for assistance.
4. Tickets are sold in one dollar increments. For example, $20 buys you 20 tickets. If an item states 5 tickets then that would be equivalent to $5.00. Items will normally range between 2 tickets to 8 tickets at the event. 
5. Please note that the event organizers will not refund unused tickets.

OPTIONS FOR GETTING TO SURREY FUSION FESTIVAL:

  • WALKING - If you live close, this is your best option.
  • RIDE YOUR BIKE - There will be two bike lockup areas: one by the POW WOW and the other by the Washroom Building on the East end of the park. Please dismount your bike before you enter the grounds under the archway. Check out a Bike Route Map here.
  • TAKE TRANSIT: Skytrain:  King George Station is right across the street from Holland Park.

  • DRIVING AND PARKING -- CENTRAL CITY SHOPPING MALL: Free public parking will be available along Old Yale Road and limited parking available in the Central City parkade level P3 or higher.
