Environmental Extravaganza

The 20th Annual Environmental Extravaganza is almost here! Are you ready?

Running from April 22 - June 11, this year’s Extravaganza will offer plenty of FREE fun for everyone! Here is just a small sample of what’s to come:

  • Guided explorations of Surrey’s scenic parks and shorelines
  • Tree planting celebrations and park clean-up parties
  • Salmon releases into the Serpentine, Little Campbell, and Nicomekl Rivers
  • Wildlife programs - birds, bees, and owls, oh my!
  • Environmental workshops - bike maintenance, fishing, gardening, and more!
  • Nature story times at your local Surrey Library branch

Groups a part of the Environmental Extravaganza for this year's Party for the Planet include:

  • Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program
  • Burns Bog Conservation Society
  • Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC
  • NatureKids BC
  • Green Timbers Heritage Society

This series of free environmental programs and events happens each year between Earth Day and World Oceans Day. In April, make sure to pick up a full calendar of events from the Surrey Nature Centre or any Surrey library or recreation centre.
