Surrey Steps Up is an annual showcase of the positive impact youth have on our city. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the amazing young people who are transforming our schools and communities through arts, athletics and activism.
At the showcase event on March 3rd, enjoy music, entertainment, food, door prizes and lots of opportunities to meet young people doing great work. Visit the Surrey Steps Up Facebook Event Page for updates.
Watch examples of local young people stepping up and making a difference:
Share your creativity, compassion and courage with the community. Support is available -- if you're interested in stepping up and want to talk about your work or idea, look for the Surrey Steps Up team at your secondary school on Wednesday, February 1st or connect with Jaclyn at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can work with you to determine how you might participate in the showcase event, help you come up with an idea or connect you with resources.
Tag your posts about stepping up with #surreystepsup and watch for upcoming contests on social media.
Sign-up to step-up and describe what you would like to do, have been doing or have already done to make your school or community a better place. Complete the submission form by Monday, February 27, 2017 and indicate if you’d like to participate in the showcase event at city hall on March 3rd. Resources are available to support your participation in the showcase event. Look for the submission form here in February.
