Council Meetings & Documents

You're invited to attend Council meetings held Monday evenings at Surrey City Hall. Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers and are simultaneously live streamed on our website. Videos of recent meetings are also archived and available for viewing.

This week in Surrey City Council

There are 4 types of Council meetings. All meetings marked with a * are broadcast live in high definition.

We have made changes to make it easier to access a complete set of documents considered by Council in a centralized location. Each of the Council packages have been bookmarked to assist you in navigating through the document.

To view the package in your web browser:

Ensure you have Internet Explorer installed on your computer. You can download the latest version here. Note that Internet Explorer displays the bookmarks panel in a more user-friendly format than other web browsers.

  1. To open the package simply click on each link to the Council package.
  2. Navigate through the document by clicking on the bookmark tab (the second icon) in the panel on the left hand side of the document. You may click on the bookmark for each item and expand the bookmark to view the associated appendices.

  1. To open the package simply click on each link to the Council package.
  2. In each tab that opens, save the document to your computer.
  3. Open the file and in the panel on the left-hand side of the document click on the bookmark tab (the second icon) to reveal the bookmarks for each item considered by Council.
  4. Navigate through the document by clicking on the bookmark for each item and expanding the bookmark to view any appendices.

Public Hearings

If you'd like to speak or write to Council about your support or opposition to a Planning Application, review the Public Hearing ProcessPersons wishing to speak will be provided five minutes for each Public Hearing item that they wish to address. 

For matters unrelated to Planning Applications, learn how to make a delegation to Mayor and Council.

Committees

Committee meetings are open to the public for observation purposes.  If you wish to make a presentation, or speak at a Committee meeting, you must first request to appear as a delegation.
