Your students will have the chance to play, touch and explore —creating memories to last a lifetime.

Museum of Surrey school programs are created by expert staff with in-depth knowledge of provincial curriculum and Surrey’s history. Registration opens in August with programs beginning in October.

Onsite School Programs

Field trips just got even better. After your 1.5 hour program led by museum education staff, tour the TD Explore Zone and Being Punjabi: Unfolding the Surrey Story. Offered Tuesday to Thursday from 10–11:30am or 12:30–2pm. Cost: $86.50 per class.

  • Christmas Long Ago (K to 4)
  • Growing Surrey (Grade 3 to 4)
  • Homestead to High-rise (K to Grade 2)
  • Métis: The Flower Beadwork People (Grade 3 to 4)
  • Simple Machines (Grade 5)
  • Wartime Christmas (Grade 5 to 6)

Offsite School Programs

No need for parent drivers! We bring the programs to you and deliver them right in your classroom. We even leave you with teacher resources to build on the lessons in the weeks to come. Available Fridays from 9:30-11am or 12:30–2pm. Cost: $86.50 per class.

Teacher Delivered Edukits

Created by Museum Education staff for delivery by teachers, edukits contain hands on artifacts and archival materials, including photographs, newspaper articles, letters and more. Packaged in a convenient suitcase, they are available on three week loan. Cost: $51.50.

  • A Year at Cloverdale Elementary (K to Grade 4)
  • Surrey's Home Front (Grades 9 to 11)
  • Surrey’s Punjabi Community (K to Grade 5)

Surrey District Heritage Fair

Get your class, or even the whole school, involved in the first annual Surrey District Heritage Fair at Museum of Surrey on April 17-18, 2020. Public school, French immersion and homeschool students from grades 4-12 are invited to showcase their projects about their selected topics in Canadian history.
