Message from Mayor Hepner

On behalf of Surrey City Council, I am pleased to welcome you to our growing city, with over 1,000 new residents calling Surrey home each month!

As the 2nd largest city in British Columbia and one of the largest in Canada, Surrey is able to offer residents and visitors alike a blend of diverse and natural landscapes, abundant parks, rich cultural opportunities and outstanding recreational choices. There is so much to experience in Surrey, from beautiful urban forests, pristine ocean lined beaches, championship golf courses and a host of exciting special events and tourism draws.

With over 6,000 acres of parkland, there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy Surrey's natural beauty, and our state of the art cultural and recreational facilities are home to numerous local, provincial, national and international sporting events, including the world famous Cloverdale Rodeo. Nurture your artistic side with a live show at the Bell Performing Arts Centre or see unique local art on display at the Surrey Art Gallery.

Strategically located within the Metro Vancouver Region, Surrey borders the United States to the South, the Fraser River to the North, and is well situated on the Asia Pacific Gateway making it a preferred destination for business and conferences.

Surrey also has numerous opportunities for the discerning shopper, from quaint specialty shops to the expanded Guildford Town Centre and Central City Mall. Whether you are here for business or pleasure, Surrey has everything you need for an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Welcome to our community.
