In the 2022 municipal election, eligible voters will cast their ballot to elect one (1) mayor, eight (8) councillors and six (6) school trustees for School District No. 36.

Elected officials make decisions that direct the City of Surrey and affect your everyday life. Whether you are a new or returning City of Surrey voter, you will find all the information you need for the 2022 municipal election here.

Voters have the choice to vote on:

Election day

Saturday, October 15, 8am to 8pm at any one of the 52 voting locations.

Advance voting

Vote early on advance voting dates October 5, 8, 9 and 12, 8am to 8pm available at six locations:

  • Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre
  • Guildford Recreation Centre 
  • Fleetwood Community Centre 
  • Princess Margaret Secondary
  • Cloverdale Recreation Centre
  • Semiahmoo Secondary

Make voting even faster by booking an appointment to vote during advance voting days (October 5, 8, 9 and 12) at the following locations:

Are you registered to vote?

If your name is on the voter's list, you will receive your Voter Card in late September or early October.

Register when you vote

Bring two (2) pieces of acceptable identification that provide evidence of your identity and place of residence. One item must contain the voter’s signature.

Non-resident property electors

If you own property in the City of Surrey but you live elsewhere in BC, you are eligible to vote if you meet the qualifications to vote.
