Stream Stewardship
Have you ever walked past a creek and wondered how you can help it be healthier?
Join Surrey's stream stewardship programs to learn how to help protect aquatic species, such as Pacific salmon and trout, in local creeks.
Take part in an action project to learn about waterways and how to protect them. Surrey’s stream stewardship programs give everyone a chance to make a difference, whether it's through a small change in your daily life, or taking part in fun challenges or events that really make an impact.
All the programs and action projects are free to take part in and we encourage everyone from preschoolers to seniors to give it a try. If you are a teacher and wish to have your class take part in any activities, check out the pages below or contact us directly at salmontracks@surrey.ca to see how you can incorporate stream protection actions in the classroom or at a nearby creek.
