Bear Creek Park

Bear Creek Park, next to the Surrey Arts Centre, features an outdoor pool and waterpark, a large playground, flower gardens, and the Bear Creek Miniature Train. It also features football and soccer fields, a running track, a fenced-in dog off-leash area, and a skatepark.

You'll also find outdoor fitness equipment for cardio and strength training, nature trails and paved walking paths. Just a short walk down from the trail, catch a glimpse of spawning salmon or trout.

Picnic shelters

Bear Creek Park is a great place to host a picnic. There are 7 picnic shelters in Bear Creek Park:

• 2 located east of the playground
• 2 located west of 140 Street parking lot
• 2 located northwest of the running track
• 1 located southeast of the pavilion

Hosting events at Bear Creek Park

No community event applications are being accepted for Bear Creek Park at this time.

Events are held regularly at the Bear Creek Pavilion, which is available for rent. We've also seen weddings take place in the Bear Creek Gardens, which are open from dawn 'til dusk, year round. In the summer you can discover Bear Creek Park through a variety of free programs for all ages, hosted by City staff.

Bear Creek Park is at capacity and we are not accepting applications for any large-scale events, including run/walk fundraisers. Learn about other parks where you can host a public event.

Destination sports facility

The Bear Creek Stadium is now complete. The replacement of the track is the next phase of the project, to be completed by Fall 2024. The track replacement project will improve the existing track to meet international standards.
