Bring your baseball mitt, soccer cleats or picnic basket for an afternoon of fun in South Surrey's Bakerview Park.
City parks are open for casual use. To minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission, stay home when sick, stay 2 metres apart, do not gather in groups, and wear a mask in crowded spaces. Spectators for outdoor sports are not permitted as per new public health orders.
Dawn until Dusk
Bakerview Park is a popular neighbourhood park with a range of park amenities. It is also home to the Sunnyside Community Hall, which offers a community space with kitchen facility that can accommodate up to 100 people.
Adjacent to the community hall, you'll find a beautifully gardened horticultural area, with a playground and lots of picnic tables. There is a parking lot next to the community hall which can be accessed from 154 Street. You'll also find 2 baseball diamonds and a soccer field at the north end of the park. In the summer, the larger fields tend to get busy, so be sure to book a field if you have a formal team practice or game.
Bakerview Park dates back to 1933, when the land was acquired by the City of Surrey.
