The City of Surrey is planning to add more swimming lessons over the fall. We appreciate your continued patience as we work towards restarting these operations while keeping swimmers and staff safe. Proof of vaccination is not required to visit indoor pools.
Indoor Pool Locations
Surrey has five indoor pools and offers a variety of aquatic programs for all ages and abilities. Currently three of the indoor pools have reopened.

Registration by phone is available. Call 604-501-5100, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm and Sunday's from 9pm to 11pm and a customer service representative will be happy to help you.
Register in person
In person registration is available at any Surrey Parks, Recreation & Culture facility during hours of operation. Bring your recreation passcard when you visit.
Cancelling a registration
Alternatively, you can call 604-501-5100, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm and Sundays from 9pm to 11pm and a customer service representative can cancel your registration for you.
If you no longer want to use your Recreation Pass, learn how to receive a refund.
If you are on the waitlist for a registered activity, please wait until you receive a confirmation call that a spot has become available. Waiting at the facility may not guarantee space in the activity.
Mask Use at Indoor Pools
Masks must be worn inside recreation facilities, except when swimming.
Spectators on pool decks are required to wear masks.
Masks are required in the changeroom but can be stored in a locker instead of wearing the mask out onto the pool deck. Participants will need to put on their face mask again at the end of their swim prior to changing.
The City of Surrey is operating aquatic services following guidelines from the BC & Yukon Lifesaving Society and the BC Recreation and Parks Association.
For Everyone's Safety
Our modified procedures align with both the Lifesaving Society of BC and Fraser Health to ensure the health and safety of both our patrons and staff.
Pools will have reduced capacity to ensure physical distancing can be maintained.
Patrons who are sick will not be allowed entry.
Patrons must shower prior to using the pool.
Lockers are now available but we recommend leaving valuables at home.
Enhanced first aid and lifeguard rescue procedures will be in place.
Hot tubs are available with limited capacity.
Saunas and steam rooms will be closed.
No private rentals or birthday party bookings.
Please note: We will actively monitor our procedures and may adjust as necessary.
Our goal is to make everyone feel safe in the water. Improve your comfort in the water with swimming lessons. Pre-registration is required.
Reservations are no longer required for lane swimming at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex and Guildford Recreation Centre. Lane swimming will be limited to 8 participants at a time.
Update for Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre
Lane swimming registration will be required at Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre. Lane swimming will be scheduled at time when leisure swims are not happening. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we hire and train additional staff.
Reservations are no longer required for public swimming at reopened indoor pools. Hot tubs and water slides are available with limited capacity.
Join an aquatic fitness class at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex and Grandview Aquatic Centre. Registration is required.
Pool Chemistry & Filtration
City of Surrey indoor pools follow the BC Health Act and are chemically treated and filtered to ensure clean water. For more information, please speak to an Aquatic Coordinator at any of our facilities.
Our pools have a variety of accessibility features including graduated access, ramps, aquatic wheelchairs, lifts and portable stairs. In addition, Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre, Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex, and Guildford Recreation Centre have adult change tables.
