Drop-in Skating

Drop-in skating is now available at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex arena and South Surrey Arena. Lace up your skates again and get back on the ice with a program that best suits you! Skates and helmets are available to rent during these times. Visit the front desk before or during the program time to pay for admissions and equipment rentals. Helmets mandatory for children 0-12 years.

  • Public Skating: Drop-in only
  • Adult Skating: Drop-in only

Skating Lessons

Registration is now open for Preschool, Children, and Youth skating lessons at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels at Surrey Sport & Leisure Arena.

  • Skating – Preschool Level 1 to 8: Ages 3-5
  • Skating – Children Level 1 to 7: Ages 6-12
  • Skating - Youth: Ages 13-18

CSA certified hockey, ski or snowboard helmets are mandatory for anyone participating in skating lessons. Bike helmets are not permitted as they do not offer the protection needed for ice skating.

Please make sure you have registered your child in the correct level. If they are registered in a level they have not progressed to or been assessed for, they will be moved to the appropriate level as space permits or withdrawn from the program.

If your child is changing age groups prior to or during a set, or you are unsure which level to register in, please contact arenaprograms@surrey.ca. We are happy to book your child in for an assessment and help them find their correct level.

Private Skating Lessons

Looking to improve on a specific skill or gain general knowledge and comfort? Get more time on the ice with one-on-one instruction in a private lesson. We now offer both individual private lessons and sets of private lessons.

Online registration will open every Sunday at 9pm with the registered drop in programs for the following week. Keep checking back!
