What to expect

Stroll through the picturesque settings, and in different locations you will be treated to a variety of performances. Each show station hosts a micro-performance that lasts approximately 10 to 15 minutes before you stroll to a grand finale performance. A POP Summer Stroll is the perfect way to while away a summer’s eve—or afternoon!

Garden access

You can tour the gardens 30 minutes before the performance starts. For Saturday matinees only, patrons can also tour the gardens for 30 minutes after the performance.

Choosing your ticket price

Summer POP! tickets range in price from $5–$35 to ensure the events are accessible to everyone in the community. That means we are giving you the option to choose the ticket price that works for your budget.

All patrons will have the same experience and will be treated equally regardless of the price they pay.

Wheelchairs and Strollers

Unfortunately, neither The Glades Woodland Garden or Darts Hill Garden Park are accessible for wheelchairs, strollers or other mobility devices like walkers.

As the nature of a POP! Summer Stroll involves walking from performance to performance, there are no seats provided. You are welcome to bring a folding chair with you. Your chair should be easy to set up, take down, and carry with you.

If you are happy to stand for the micro performances and don’t want to bring a chair, you may want a blanket for the grand finale to sit on the grass.

What to wear

Because of the cedar bulk mulch and gravel on the park and garden walkways, we strongly recommend wearing close-toed shoes.

The POP! Summer Strolls will also take place rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Check the forecast: if it is sunny, make sure you wear something cool that won’t leave you sunburnt, and if the weather is a little cooler, wear clothing that keeps you snug. And if there is a chance of rain, bring a rain jacket and your best umbrella!

Also remember this is mosquito season, so please take the appropriate precautions for these uninvited Summer POP! guests.

We encourage you to bring your own beverages and snacks. There is a strict no-alcohol allowed policy in place in all Surrey parks. Any patrons found with alcohol at Summer POP! Events will be asked to leave the event immediately.

Remember to take home all your garbage with you or dispose of it in the park’s garbage cans.

As lovely as your pet companion may be, unless it is a certified service animal with the appropriate paperwork, which you will need to show to Box Office staff, they must stay home, no matter how much they love POP! Summer Strolls.
