Request for Quotations

The City of Surrey is seeking quotations to provide all labour, supervision, materials, plant, equipment, layout, survey, permits, and inspections and related services to construct a reinforced concrete, multi-purpose, outdoor public plaza space including associated storm drainage system, excavation, imported structural fill, basketball posts/hoops, and various related works. Furnish certificates confirming work conforms to requirements of Authorities having jurisdiction.

Job site location is 13428 Old Yale Road, Surrey, B.C.

Description of Scope of Work
The general components of the work include hoarding and securing the site, construction stage erosion control, excavation of unsuitable material (approx. 1.5 m deep), offsite disposal of excavated material, supply and placement of imported structural fill, modular trench drain system, storm sewer extension, removal and adjustment of existing onsite storm, sanitary and irrigations systems as required to suit the new works, rough and fine grading, construction of a reinforced concrete pavement consisting of various colours and finishes, supply and installation of two basketball court posts/hoops with ground-sleeves, court line painting, surface restoration and all related works.

Contractor to comply with all BC Plumbing Code, BC Fire Marshal, BC Workers’ Compensation Board, National Building Code of Canada, BC Electrical Inspector, National Fire Protection Association, and any other authorities having local jurisdiction. Failure to abide by these rules and regulations will result in being immediately escorted from the work site.

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City's Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at (the "BC Bid Website") and the City Website at (the "City Website") that will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.

All inquiries related to this Request for Quotation ("RFQ") should be directed in writing to the contact person named below.
