Request for Quotations

The City is seeking quotations for the Contractor to provide a weekly Workplace Garment Rental Service Program.  These Services will primarily be required by the City’s Engineering Department – Operations Division:  Mechanical Shops [Garage & Pumps & Controls] and Sanitary Sewer Sections.

This Program shall be conducted to provide continuous, efficient, and cost effective service.  Services provided by the Contractor shall be in accordance with applicable health, safety, and other regulatory agency standards at all times.  Services shall be maintained to prevent unsatisfactory service conditions.

This Program includes all costs of supplying workplace garments including but not limited to:

  • the pick-up and sorting of soiled workplace garments;
  • cataloguing of all soiled workplace garments picked up for laundering;
  • the laundering of workplace garments;
  • the packaging/sorting of workplace garments;
  • the delivery of laundered workplace garments;
  • the fitting of workplace garments;
  • repairs, alterations, and adjustments of workplace garments;
  • replacements of workplace garments;
  • stop service charge, invoicing/account maintenance service charges, environmental fees, and fuel surcharge(s).

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at (the “BC Bid Website) and the City Website at (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
