Request for Proposals

PURPOSE

The City of Surrey is seeking qualified and experienced Consultant to develop a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan for the future direction of the Surrey International Children’s Festival.

The project aims to create a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan that will provide future direction for the SICF, acknowledging current trends, anticipating challenges and opportunities and future priorities.

The Plan will identify priorities and model for Festival structure, including:

  1. review the artistic vision, mission and mandate;
  2. analyze programming;
  3. assess marketing and sponsorship initiatives; and
  4. examine Festival operations and their viability, capacity and sustainability into the future.

The Plan will provide a road map with clear direction for the future and articulate the SICF’s strengths and contributions in the context of the City’s municipal cultural planning and community development, and within the context of the goals and objectives of the City’s PRC 10-year plan. The Plan will provide measurable short, medium and long term achievable goals and objectives for the Festival with assigned responsibilities for implementation.

Addenda

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca  the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form part of this RFP.  No amendment of any kind to the RFP is effective unless it is posted in a formal written addendum on the City Website.  Upon submitting a Proposal, Proponents will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda that are posted on the City Website.
