Request for Quotations

This RFQ is for a contract for the supply and delivery of up to four (4) 75 ft. Ladder Quints for the purpose of fire fighting in an urban environment and providing emergency and rescue response services.

The City of Surrey (the “City”) invites Quotations for the supply and delivery of up to four (4) 75 ft. Ladder Quints as detailed and described in Schedule A – Specifications of Goods (Parts I & II) to Attachment 1 – Agreement – Goods (the “Goods”), including the performance of the warranty obligations as described in the Agreement, which include: a two-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, a lifetime frame warranty, a 10 year 100,000 mile structural warranty, a 10 year stainless steel plumbing warranty, a 20 year aerial device structural warranty, a 10 year paint and corrosion warranty and warranty repair for defects, latent defects and non-compliances, and fleet defects.

The City reserves the right to order none, one, two, three, or four 75 ft. Ladder Quints. No compensation will be accrued, owed or paid to any Contractor in the event that the Goods are not ordered. If an Agreement is executed by the City and a Contractor, the Contractor agrees to provide the Goods specified in the Agreement.

Addenda

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca  (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
