Transportation Strategic Plan Update Engagement Program

Request for Proposals
The City of Surrey is inviting Proponents to submit Proposals to develop a Transportation Strategic Plan Update Engagement Program.

Project Objectives
The updated Transportation Strategic Plan will continue to set a long range vision that is based on a set of principles and objectives developed with significant community engagement.

The Proponent’s primary role will be to drive implementation of the engagement program, including its promotion, the preparation of presentation materials (e.g. display boards, print materials), event coordination and execution, and reporting.

Scope of Services
The Consultant will be retained to develop, implement, and report out on a robust and innovative stakeholder engagement program.

Project Deliverables
This planning project will result in the development of a new Transportation Strategic Plan that is inclusive, visionary and sustainable, clearly identifying community values and prioritizing safety. The work plan for the Transportation Strategic Plan Update is divided into three phases, with a staff report to Council anticipated at the end of each phase.

Successful implementation of the engagement program will support the development of an inclusive, visionary and sustainable Transportation Strategic Plan that clearly identifies community values and prioritizes safety.

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form part of this RFP.  No amendment of any kind to the RFP is effective unless it is posted in a formal written addendum on the City Website.  Upon submitting a Proposal, Proponents will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda that are posted on the City Website.
