Non-Resident Business Licence
Apply for a licence if you perform services in Surrey but do not have a physical location here.
Businesses that do not have a physical location in Surrey, but perform services within the city, require a City of Surrey Business Licence.
Example of businesses that require a non-resident business licence include plumbers, electricians, photographers, engineers and janitorial companies. Business licences for non-resident businesses are typically issued the same day the application is made, provided that all required information is supplied on the application form.
To apply for a non-resident business licence:
- Visit the Online Business Licensing application or complete the Business Licence Application form.
- Pay the business licence fee with your application. Confirm your business licence fee by contacting the Licensing office at 604-591-4370. A list of fees (for reference only) is available in the Business License Bylaw in Schedule A on page 35.
- Submit your application in person, by email, by fax or by mail.
