Addendum

REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

The City of Surrey (the “City”) is seeking Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision civic grounds maintenance – pick up and disposal of debris at the City’s designated park sites as specified in Schedule A, A-1, and A-2. All Services must be performed to the complete satisfaction of the City.

The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labour, materials, tools and equipment and transportation necessary to supply and deliver the Goods and the performance of Services in accordance with this Agreement.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

On each visit the Contractor shall be responsible for collecting, bagging, removing and properly disposing of litter and debris from all lawn areas and hard surfaces within the designated park sites. This includes litter and debris left adjacent to park garbage containers. Sport fields and forested areas including pathways through forested areas, are not included in this Agreement.

a) Litter includes, but is not limited to, signs, waste, broken glass, shopping carts, bottles, needles, cans, papers, and other unsightly debris within the designated park sites.
b) Debris refers to any larger material on the site, which is there for reasons other than “natural”. (Example of “natural”: windblown debris from trees). Natural materials, such as branches, will be considered debris and should be removed if they are there because of human activity. (i.e., branches dragged onto passive grass).
c) Hard surfaces include, but are not limited to, parking lots, pedestrian pathways, and walkways.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.

Please note, the Surrey City Hall is closed for the Winter Break from December 26th to January 2nd returning to normal operations on January 3rd, 2023. Any correspondence sent to the City will be returned once City Hall has reopened.
