REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SCOPE OF WORK

Proposals are invited for the construction of two (2) District Energy transfer stations (ETS) and interior piping located at PCI King George Hub Phase C (13639 George Junction) and Elizabeth Fry Society Rosewood Housing Building (9683 137 Street) in Surrey, British Columbia.

General Components of the Work:

The work includes the provision of all equipment, labour, disposals, materials and incidentals required to complete all of the work as described herein these tender documents for the supply and installation of two energy transfer stations located within newly constructed buildings in Surrey City Centre.

The work was designed by Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd. and includes two components: Energy Transfer Station and Interior Piping. 

The Energy Transfer Station design includes but is not limited to the supply, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment and piping for two energy transfer stations located within the mechanical rooms of newly constructed buildings in Surrey City Centre.

The Interior Piping design includes but is not limited to the supply, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment and piping for the interior piping between the building penetration and the Energy Transfer Station.

The detailed scope of Work is as described in the Special Provisions (Schedule B – Appendix 1), Supplementary Specifications (Project) (Schedule B- Appendix 2), and Contract Drawings (listed below) (Schedule B – Appendix 2A).

INFORMATION MEETING

An Information Meeting has been scheduled as follows:

Date: Wednesday, March 31, 2021
Time: 9:00am

Where:

  • PCI Phase C @ 9:00 a.m. (local time)
  • Elizabeth Fry Society – Rosewood @ 10.00 a.m. (local time)

All Contractors will be required to complete a short orientation and COVID questionnaires. Masks are mandatory and all visitors are required to wear PPE (steel toed boots and hard hat) in order to enter the construction sites.
Note: Each person attending the Information Meeting is required to complete a Covid-19 Prework Contractor Orientation Checklist (see Attachment below). Please complete and send the completed checklist on or before March 30, 2021, by email: to purchasing@surrey.ca

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca  (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form a part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
